Alabama History

Alabama has a lot of interesting History. Here are some Native American tribes that are native to the land of Alabama: Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw and Creek. The land that is Alabama was acquired in 1795 through the Treaty of San Lorenzo. This treaty was sign between the us and Spain. In the 1700's many people from France and Canada came to Alabama to farm. Alabama became a state on December 14 , 1819. Montgomery Bus Boycotts took place. this was when white people made African American sit in the back of the bus so African American stop riding the bus in protest. This protest lasted for 13 months.
